We were brought here by our sister-in-law for a late breakfast today, and I found this village cafe to be very unique and interesting. First of all, its location is great, not far from the main road, and not too deep into the village areas, which might tend to get people to lose their way. Secondly, the name is unmistakenly in the perakian dialect, so you would know exactly where you are! The best seller dish is called "Nasi Goreng Opah", which insinuated that your own grandmother is frying that rice dish for you!! My wife and I already had an early breakfast at 7:00 am in Kuala Lumpur. So, this time we only had teh tarik along with the Cucur Udang, which was very tasty and crispy. My sister-in-law had been here before, and she knew the Owner, as well as most of the other patrons. Hence, before we could even sit at our designated table, we had to move around to meet and greet the other customers with pleasantries, as this is a very common practice in the villages. Since the Main Dining Area is actually located beneath the elevated traditional timber house, the headroom was very uncompromisingly low. But the Owner had compensated this fact by providing low tables and chairs, which reminded me of a kindergarten setting. I found this quite hillarious, but somehow the other patrons had gotten used to this situation, and they didnt seem to mind at all. But our Party of 4 were very concious about it, and had decided to go for the regular sized table and chairs, located at the patio area, and not underneath the timber house. As we were sitting quietly sipping our drinks, a group of about 30 motorcyclists suddenly arrived at the front yard. Apparently, they had travelled all the way from Penang, and had made prior bookings for their foods and drinks. Therefore, as soon as they were settled at their tables, the plates of Nasi Goreng Opah and cups of black coffees were brought out to serve them. Having experience the laid back kampung setting and vibes at this cafe, we had made a plan for a return visit soon, to try out more of their delicious servings. Inshaa Allah...

Alhamdulillah. A very nostalgic eating experience. It feels as if I'm eating at my grandma's house. The food was great, the flowery plates are classic. Unfortunately it's not OKU Friendly. Quite spacious parking and good air ventilation. Great!
